Cyberterrorist group ShinyHunters has taken responsibility for an attack against pharmaceutical giant McKesson- the latest in a string of cyberattacks rocking the industry in 2026.
On August 28, McKesson filed documents notifying the Securities and Exchange Commission of the attack.
“At this time, customers may experience intermittent service degradation that we believe may be related to this incident,” McKesson said in a statement. “We are aware of these issues and continue to monitor the situation closely.”
The company has confirmed that the hackers took data from customers in the oncology and surgical business units.
