UPS Q3 revenue grows 6.7% as higher-value shipments offset package volume declines

United Parcel Service (UPS) is seeing results from its shift toward more profitable shipments and customers. STATUS — A supply-driven recovery is a useful frame for rate conversations: tighter capacity can lift rates even if freight volumes stay soft. Brokers should note Miller's comments on carrier vetting and insurance, since both add cost on the buy side, and the article says the upcycle could stretch into 2027 even without a strong volume rebound.A supply-driven recovery is a useful frame for rate conversations: tighter capacity can lift rates even if freight volumes stay soft.
