Koehler Paper Group, leading manufacturer of thermal paper is increasing prices for its thermal paper product range by 12-15 % for shipments from April 1st, 2018 onwards.
This increase is essential in order to offset the extreme rise of specialty chemical costs, mainly colorformer as well as historically high pulp prices.

Irving Consumer Products broke ground on the construction of their new $400 million state-of-the-art tissue plant in Macon, Georgia today at an event at the site of their future home. Joined by Mayor Robert Reichert and Charlie Gatlin, Special Projects Advisor for Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD), President Robert K. With Mark Petersen’s retirement May 21, 2021 as Sr Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Catalyst Paper is pleased to announce the following changes within the Sales & Marketing Organization. Christophe Kusel, Director of International Sales, will take on the role and responsibilities in a promotion to Vice President, Paper Sales & Marketing reporting to Patrick Corriveau, Vice President, Catalyst Paper and Packaging. The US sales organization, Catalyst Paper (USA) Inc, as well as Richmond BC based Business Operations and Customer Service will report through to Christophe. Jean Buckwalter has been promoted to Vice President Specialty Sales, reporting to Christophe. Jean will continue to see to the nurturing and sales of our ongoing focus in the Food and Specialties arena. Sarah Walters, VP Paper & Packaging Sales will report to Christophe and see to the continued success of our printing & writing Coated sales strategy, as well as taking on a leadership role for the Catalyst packaging initiatives.
Tony Smurfit, President and Group Chief Executive of Smurfit Westrock, was presented with the ‘Distinguished Leadership Award’ at The Ireland Funds’ 50th Anniversary Gala in New York on May 7.
This award recognizes an individual whose leadership and pioneering contributions have made a lasting impact on the world. At the event, Tony was commended for being an ‘outstanding’ business leader for his role at the helm of a packaging giant which spans 40 countries.
