Lakeside Book Company Expands Printing Capacity

Book manufacturing giant Lakeside Book Company has gotten even larger with the acquisition of Bradford & Bigelow, which prints books for the K-12, higher education, and trade publishing markets.

With the acquisition, B&B will operate as a division of Lakeside, and its manufacturing and fulfillment facilities in Newburyport, Mass., and Newton, N.H., will remain open and continue to operate with their current teams. Imanol Cortazar, VP and general manager of B&B, will continue to oversee both New England facilities.

“B&B excels at delivering exceptional printed educational materials and we intend to build upon their nearly eight decades of investment in technology, sustainability, and customer-focused workflows to serve new customers in education and other markets,” said Dave McCree, CEO of Lakeside Book, in the release announcing the acquisition.
