- Circular Action Alliance, the producer responsibility organization selected to implement California’s extended producer responsibility for packaging law, on Monday hit a highly anticipated deadline to submit its program plan to the SB 54 advisory board.
- In the draft plan, CAA projects a California program budget of up to $1.87 billion in 2027. Looking at the next five years, it could total between $9.35 billion to $17.2 billion.
- A public comment period is open until Aug. 14. CAA will consider the comments as it prepares the final program plan for submission to CalRecycle in October.

Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with the Singapore Environment Council (SEC) to commence with a pilot audit of one of its supplier concessions, an event that marks the commencement of the assessment process for the enhanced Singapore Green Labelling Scheme (SGLS) certification. The agreement was signed today by Sinar Mas Group Country President and APP Managing Director, Mr Bernard Tan. Under the agreement, the enhanced SGLS pilot audit will commence this month, with a full audit to follow. In accordance to the label’s enhanced criteria, APP will provide full disclosure of its supply chain, including those not involved in products sold to Singapore1, for the assessment.
