UPS, which operates one of the largest commercial trucking fleets in the world, announced it has placed a reservation for 125 of Tesla’s new fully-electric Semi tractors. The new tractors will join UPS’s extensive alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicle fleet, comprised of trucks and tractors propelled by electricity, natural gas, propane and other non-traditional fuels. “For more than a century, UPS has led the industry in testing and implementing new technologies for more efficient fleet operations. These third-party-verified and internationally comparable Environmental Product Declarations help building contractors and designers better understand the environmental impact of construction products and materials. An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a voluntary and reliable way to present a product's environmental impact throughout its whole lifecycle, from raw material sourcing to disposal. UPM Plywood's Environmental Product Declarations have been created according to the EN 15804:2012+A1:2013 and ISO 14025 standards for four product groups: coated and uncoated spruce plywood, and coated and uncoated birch plywood. FSC-PRO-01-001 The Development and Revision of FSC® Requirements provides the process steps for how to develop, review, revise, and withdraw international FSC requirements. FSC invites you to participate in the second public consultation of the procedure from 29 April – 30 June 2022 via the FSC Consultation Platform. Our normative framework (policies, standards, procedures, among other documents) is the backbone of how we protect and manage forests worldwide. International FSC requirements are produced following the steps set out in FSC-PRO-01-001. Revising this procedure is thus key in streamlining FSC’s normative framework to produce adaptive and user-friendly documents and continue effectively delivering on the FSC mission. Streamlining the FSC normative framework is a key goal in the FSC Global Strategy and we are looking for feedback from stakeholders to support this effort.
