Ahlstrom-Munksjö expands its platform of durable building applications by launching FibRoc® Ceiling, a new offering of high performance solutions for ceiling applications. Following the launch of Fibroc® Flooring last year, Ahlstrom-Munksjö is pleased to announce the second portfolio launch of Fibroc® Ceiling. The new portfolio consists of a wide range of high performance fiber-based solutions for perforated plasterboard ceilings, mineral wool and wet felt ceilings, as well as perforated wood and metal ceilings. It brings together a wide range of high performance products for ceiling applications, making it easier for business partners to recognize and understand the product benefits. “Our high performance products deliver an excellent level of noise reduction,“ says Pierre Mary, Vice President, Nonwovens. “Delivering acoustic comfort within a room, as well as incorporating fire resistance, while meeting necessary safety standards” he adds.

UPM Raflatac business area and reporting segment will be renamed UPM Adhesive Materials as of June 12, 2025. The new reporting segment name will be in use from the Interim Report Q2 2025 onwards. Tha name change supports the business area's strategic direction to accelerate its growth beyond label materials into graphics solutions and specialty tapes. UPM Raflatac will remain a leading, global product brand in the Label materials offering area. UPM Adhesive Materials leverages its adhesive expertise, material performance, and industry-leading services to deliver value to customers. The business area holds a leading market position in label materials and has expanded significantly in graphics solutions through the acquisitions of AMC AG, Grafityp, and Metamark.

Given the current global situation driving rapid escalation of raw material costs along with the sharp rise in crude oil resulting from the U.S. and U.K. governments’ decision to ban the purchase of Russian oil derivatives, Solenis is experiencing unprecedented weekly volatility in our cost to serve our customers. As a result, Solenis will move to monthly pricing on all product lines effective April 1, 2022. All product lines and market segments are being severely impacted by these world events. We continue to focus our team on mitigating the impact of this situation on our customers’ operations by exhausting every pathway to procure raw materials to support customer demand and avoid run outs. However, these volumes are coming at an extremely high cost which requires our temporary shift to a monthly pricing structure. We consider this a temporary situation, and we will continue to monitor this volatile situation and will keep lines of communication open to allow de-escalation of monthly pricing as energy pricing and other raw material feedstocks normalize.
