Sealed Air Corporation announced they have joined the Alliance to End Plastic Waste, a new global organization comprised of nearly 30 companies to date making a five-year commitment to invest $1.5 billion in solutions to help eliminate plastic waste in the environment. “The Alliance brings together key members across the value chain, from materials suppliers to waste management companies, to jointly develop solutions that minimize and manage plastic waste, as well as promote means to use waste plastics in a circular economy,” said Ted Doheny, Sealed Air President and CEO. “Our increased investments in innovation, including collaborations with partners such as the Alliance, will help us accelerate progress toward our 2025 sustainability goals.” Click read more below for additional detail.

Which Austrian companies and personalities are particularly good for the forest? PEFC Austria gave the answer on the country's highest mountain, the Großglockner, where it presented the PEFC Award for Sustainability 2021 in five categories. "It was a real pleasure to join our Austrian colleagues at this very special location at the foot of the Großglockner, and meet the personalities that through a variety of actions make a real difference for forests and people in Austria and beyond,” said Eduardo Rojas Briales. "We can celebrate sustainability at the Großglockner mountain at 2,369 metres thanks to one of the award winners," explained PEFC Austria Chair Dr Kurt Ramskogler, as he announced Großglockner-Hochalpenstraßen-AG (GROHAG) as the winner in the category "Promotion".

The diverse SFI community includes landowners, land managers, brand owners, academics, community builders, Indigenous leaders, conservationists, youth, government officials, architects and many others. Their stories – and the story of the SFI Program – unfold in the pages of the report, presented this year in an 18-month calendar format. SFI Program Participants are required to complete detailed surveys that allow SFI to present a comprehensive picture of the ways our community addresses environmental, social and economic priorities.
