Interfor Announces Incremental Lumber Production Curtailments of 26% for the Fourth Quarter of 2025

We recognize the integral connection between paper and learning, as well as the unique role of local libraries. As part of our 175th anniversary celebration, we made one of the largest community investments in our history to support the construction of a new community library in Windsor, Quebec, home to our Windsor Mill. Domtar committed $225,000 to support the project, which will relocate the Patrick Dignan Library to a new building that will offer more space and improved accessibility. “Domtar’s partnership with the library project is a natural fit. In addition to being a mobilizing and inclusive project for the entire community, it is directly linked to our product, paper,” says Sylvain Bricault, general manager of the Windsor Mill.

Solenis, a leading global producer of specialty chemicals, will implement an energy surcharge on all products and product lines of up to 20% on all orders shipped on or after September 1, 2022, for all customers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). The continued impact of limited availability of gas from Russia has resulted in extremely high and volatile gas prices in Europe. As a result, higher costs are being experienced by our manufacturing plants in addition to price escalations in key raw materials from our suppliers.

The blue thermal paper from Koehler Paper, known under the trade name Blue4est®, is becoming increasingly popular due to its sustainability; a result of a complete absence of color developers and that it can be easily disposed of as wastepaper. The blue checkout rolls from the world’s leading thermal paper manufacturer from Oberkirch have now become the subject of a promotional campaign in the Renchtal region. Eight businesses and restaurants from the city Oberkirch have come together voluntarily to use their logos on the back of the blue till paper in an act of solidarity to campaign for a green Renchtal. In addition to the eight logos, they are also highlighting the main advantage of the blue thermal paper: It is environmentally friendly and can be recycled. This makes it clear to customers that their blue receipt is helping to protect the environment and represents an even greener Renchtal.
