Aptar Recognized with Prestigious ‘A’ Score on the CDP Climate Change Assessment

Aptar was recognized for its actions to cut emissions, mitigate climate risks and further the low-carbon economy, based on the data reported by the Company through CDP’s 2024 corporate questionnaire. In 2024, over 700 financial institutions with over 142 trillion USD in assets requested companies to disclose data on environmental impacts, risks, and opportunities through CDP’s platform. A record-breaking 24,800 companies responded. Through significant demonstrable action on climate, Aptar is a leader in corporate environmental ambition, action and transparency worldwide.

BillerudKorsnäs leader in Dow Jones Sustainability Index – for the third year in a row

An integrated sustainability work and an ambition to constantly meet customers' sustainability requirements are reasons why BillerudKorsnäs maintains its leading position for the third year in a row, according to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index – a globally recognized sustainability ranking for investors. The results from this year's ranking show that BillerudKorsnäs is one of the ten percent most sustainable companies and the company with the highest score in the Containers & Packaging category. S&P Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) is a comprehensive annual evaluation of companies’ sustainability practices and performance with a coverage of over 7,300 companies representing approximately 95 percent of market capitalization. The top ten percent are included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index.

Flint Group’s 2030 carbon reduction targets approved by SBTi

Flint Group is pleased to announce that its 2030 carbon reduction targets have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The business is working towards a 46.2% reduction in scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions by 2030 versus their 2019 baseline. The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a collaboration between CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project), the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The SBTi defines and promotes best practice in science-based target setting and independently assesses companies’ targets. Matthew Rowland-Jones, Sustainability Officer at Flint Group, said: “We are delighted that our 2030 carbon reduction targets have been approved by the SBTi. This validation represents significant work across the business to develop a detailed plan to reduce emissions and combat climate change. Carbon reduction forms part of ‘PRISM’, our vision and strategy for long-term sustainability. PRISM splits the broader topic of sustainability into the three core areas where we can make the biggest impact, ‘Product, Planet and People’.
